The making of the Fruit of the Spirit Painting
In this video I show how I work through the process of painting a picture with the use of a drawing, under painting and local color. The under painting is a good way to establish my values for a foundation of the paint the will applied later. The work is built with layers to help provide depth to the painted surface. Some of the values that were done in the beginning can still be seen. There are levels of thin and opaque paint that push what one color can do by adding layers of the same color from translucency to opaqueness.
The motivation comes from my Christian faith as I paint. That is how I was inspired in this work.
